Job Description

The Maintenance HVAC Technician role is a hands-on, skilled position requiring strong technical expertise in maintaining, repairing, replacing, and installing heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, including related controls and distribution systems. The ideal candidate should also hold a certification in high-pressure boilers and have a solid understanding of their operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years experience with HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, and control systems
• Basic math skills
• Capable of taking accurate measurements and solving problems without supervision
• Must hold a current EPA license to handle refrigerant systems
• Can read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
• Skilled in diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems and machinery
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Has strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external vendors
• Familiar with HVAC/mechanical components and systems
• Able to operate shop equipment and portable power tools safely and efficiently
